In the before times, we didn’t have the social networks. Then, Orkut sprang up, and the Emperor-for-Life created Bay Area Geeks Eat Lunch, and meetups happened, and then didn’t happen for a very long time, and now we do again.
Does it cost money?
No. Well, lunch costs money. We’re not going to pay for your lunch. You pay for your lunch. Then you lunch. Possibly near the rest of us.
But, is that always the case?
No. If you are a billionaire, then we expect you to pay for lunch. A regular lunch; you don’t have to pay if someone like wants extra meat on their sandwich.
